E-sign disclosure

PeopleSlip Electronic Signature Disclosure
Version people-esign-2026-10-18

This draft disclosure is for a person asked to sign a document someone sent through PeopleSlip.

1. You can sign electronically if the document is one the law lets you sign that way. You can ask the sender for a paper copy instead. PeopleSlip cannot give you legal advice about whether electronic signing is allowed.

2. Some documents may need notarization or a wet-ink signature. Do not use this page for a document the sender has told you must be signed another way.

3. To sign, you need a current browser, a way to open PDF files, and an email address or an in-person session the sender arranged. You can withdraw consent before you finish by closing the page and telling the sender.

4. Signing here does not make PeopleSlip your lawyer and does not give you legal, tax, or financial advice. The account holder is the sender.

5. Every signer automatically gets a copy of the signed document. The sender also keeps one. Save your own copy when the page offers a download.
